How it works
- Replies in the shopper's language. A shopper who writes in French gets an answer in French. The same goes for many other languages.
- From your store data as written. If your product pages are in English, Catchly reads them in English and answers in the shopper's language. You do not need to translate your store first.
- Welcome message and buttons too. Your greeting is translated, and the chat buttons and labels follow the shopper's language in English, French, Spanish and German.
- Prices for the shopper's country. Product cards show the price for the shopper's own market.
- Team languages. In Settings, tick the languages your team can also reply in when you take over a chat.
For Canadian stores
If you sell across Canada, some of your shoppers will write in French. Catchly answers them in French, from the same shipping, returns and product facts your English speaking shoppers see. Catchly is made by a Canadian company in Nova Scotia, and our security page explains how store and shopper data is handled, including deletion after you uninstall.
Catchly helps you answer shoppers in their language. It does not make your store compliant with any language law on its own. If you sell in Quebec, check what your storefront, policies and service in French need to cover with your own advisor.
Getting good answers in every language
- Send a test chat in each language your shoppers use and check the details that matter, such as materials and sizes.
- State important facts clearly on the product page, for example water resistant or waterproof. Clear source text gives clear answers in every language.
- If a translated answer is not right, use Fix this answer and write the reply in that language.
Good to know
The Catchly admin is in English. The chat itself replies in the shopper's language, and its buttons and labels are translated into English, French, Spanish and German.
