Klaviyo

Before you start

You need a Klaviyo account and permission to create API keys in it. In Klaviyo, create a private API key with these scopes: profiles:write, lists:read, lists:write and subscriptions:write.

Connect

1. In Catchly, open Settings and go to Email marketing: Klaviyo.
2. Paste your Klaviyo private API key and connect.
3. Pick the list under Subscribe consented leads to, and save.

New leads sync from then on. Leads captured before you connected are not sent.

We store your key encrypted and show only its last 4 characters.

Who is sent to Klaviyo

• Leads who ticked the marketing box in the chat are subscribed to your chosen list.
• Leads who did not tick it are never subscribed to any list.
• If you switch on Also add leads who did not agree to marketing as Klaviyo profiles, those leads are added as profiles only, with no subscription. It is off by default.

You are responsible for how you use your Klaviyo list, including the email marketing rules in the countries you sell to.

If a sync fails

Catchly shows The last sync to Klaviyo failed in Settings. The most common cause is a key that was deleted or is missing a scope. Create a new key with the four scopes above and connect again.

Disconnect

Use Disconnect in the same section. The API key is deleted straight away and no more leads are sent. Leads already in Klaviyo stay there.
